Monthly meeting of Zoning & Planning Committee/ ZAP

AGENDA:

1. Discussion with Paul Riedesel of the Department of Environmental Health regarding noise how it is regulated.
2. Discussion with Executive Director of Denver’s Road Home, Bennie Milliner, about plans to shelter homeless in cold-weather emergencies, locations, details and process.
3. Discuss ideas to propose for revisions to liquor and cabaret license policies and procedures to submit to Excise and License Department.
4. Discuss ideas to propose about regulation of retail marijuana stores, pursuant to Amendment 64.
5. Discussion about proposed new parking garage to be built by Stadium District near Coors Field.
6. Discussion of ideas to present to new Manager of Community Planning and Development, Rock Piro. He will begin work in Denver on December 10. PLEASE BRING IDEAS. We will make every effort to meet with him as soon as possible.
7. Discussion of ideas for speakers/subjects for future committee meetings. PLEASE BRING IDEAS.
8. Any other business.

 The committee usually meets on the fourth Saturday of each month. The next meeting, however, will be on January 26, 2013. Please calendar ahead.

Mission Statement for INC Zoning and Planning Committee

The mission of the INC Zoning and Planning Committee is to learn about zoning, planning, licensing and urban design issues and processes in Denver, including sidewalks and tree lawns; to assist neighborhood groups in dealing with such matters; and to provide advocacy, recommendations and comments to city government, with emphasis on the need for and importance of involvement of neighbors and neighborhood organizations in city issues.
