Urban Waterways Restoration Study – Provide Your Input
This project will identify improvements to restore three major urban waterways (Harvard Gulch, Weir Gulch, and the South Platte River from 6th to 58th Avenues) in the City and County of Denver. The study is sponsored by the United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Urban Drainage and Flood Control District (UDFCD), City and County of Denver (CCD), and the Colorado Water Conservation Board (CWCB) .
A second round of public meetings is being held to get your input on the proposed preliminary alternatives for these waterways. The meetings will begin with an open-house at 5:30 pm. followed by a 45-minutes presentation of the preliminary alternatives at 6:00 pm. This is an opportunity to learn about the alternatives and speak directly with project team members.
- Weir Gulch, Tuesday, September 15, 5:30-7:30 pm at Barnum Recreation Center, 360 W. Hooker St.
- South Platte River: Wednesday, September 16, 5:30-7:30 pm, REI, 1416 Platte St.
- Harvard Gulch, Wednesday, September 30, 5:30-7:30 pm, Harvard Gulch Recreation Center, 550 E. Iliff Ave.
