RNO Renewal Time
It’s that time of year once again when all registered neighborhood organizations (RNOs) must renew their registration with the city! Renewal can be done online from now until Monday, February 1, 2016. Visit www.DenverGov.org/RNO or follow the link below and click “Renew Now” on the right side of the page.
PLEASE NOTE: There are two new features on the renewal form this year. Read on for details.
- Is your contact information up to date?
The first question on the form asks if your RNO’s contact information is up to date. If the information currently on file with the city is correct and no changes are needed, you can save time by simply checking this box to bypass the rest of the form. You will still need to agree to the terms of registration and click “Submit” at the end of the form. If your RNO’s information needs to be updated, simply leave the box unchecked and proceed to the rest of the form. To review your contact information currently on file with the city, go to www.DenverGov.org/RNO, scroll down to the map and type your organization’s name in the search field.
- Do you have a preferred mailing address?
A street address of record within the boundaries of an RNO is required as part of your registration to verify that the contact person resides within the neighborhood. This address, along with the contact phone number and email, has always been included in the public RNO database posted online at www.DenverGov.org/RNO. If you do NOT want this street address included in the public database or if your organization has a preferred mailing address (such as a PO Box), the form will now provide a check box for you to opt out of the public database listing and/or submit an alternate mailing address. A street address is still required for registration—the new option will simply allow you keep that address private and/or to provide an alternate mailing address, if you prefer. The contact email and phone number will continue to be included in the public database.
To renew now, click here or copy and paste the following URL onto your browser window: http://www.denvergov.org/cpd/CommunityPlanningandDevelopment/RegisteredNeighborhoods/RenewaNeighborhoodOrganizationCOPY/tabid/444365/Default.aspx
The renewal process is required by city ordinance and offers an opportunity to update your group’s contact information and ensure that you receive timely communications from the city regarding projects in your neighborhood. Any organizations that do not renew their registration by February 1, 2016 will be removed from the city’s list. To avoid delisting, we encourage you to click the link in this email and renew your registration quickly and conveniently using our online form. If you registered as a new organization in July of this year, you still have to renew at this time.
