Public Hearing on CB12-0165 – Zoning Code Text Amendment #11 to mitigate effects of certain governmental actions on zone lots and uses – May 7, 2012 – Re: Attached Garages
The City Council meets at 5:30 p.m. on the fourth floor of the City & County Building at 1437 Bannock Street. Anyone wishing to speak in favor of or against the proposed amendment must sign a speaker card, available from the Council Secretary, during the recess.
Proposed Amendment
Community Planning & Development has proposed to amend the Zoning Code regarding Attached Garages. The amendment utilizes the context-based approach and other existing tools in the Code to refine and provide flexibility in the design of attached garages consistent with the intent of the current design standard.

Review History of Proposal
• Planning Board: Feb. 15 recommended approval.
• RNO notice of Land Use, Transportation & Infrastructure Meeting: Feb. 16
• Council Land Use, Transportation & Infrastructure Committee: March 6 approved proposal for filing after its discussion.
City Council: March 27 ordered the bill published and set the public hearing for April 23.
City Council: April 16 will postpone the hearing to May 7.
