Sunnyside Conservation Overlays

Councilwoman Amanda P. Sandoval has proposed a Denver Zoning Code text amendment to create two conservation overlay zone districts, along with a map amendment, that will be applied to portions of the Sunnyside neighborhood. The proposed text and map amendment will be posted soon, and are tentatively expected to be heard at Planning Board in December.

Denver’s Outdoor Places Program

During the pandemic, a temporary COVID-related regulation allowed local businesses to use temporary patio spaces to expand their serving capacity. City staff are now developing a permanent program that will allow these and other businesses to use private and public outdoor space for operations after the temporary pandemic-related program ends. Don’t miss this opportunity to ask questions and provide feedback.
Brad will provide an overview, and describe how the transition to a more permanent Outdoor Spaces Program might work. In addition, learn how your neighborhood can set up a Q&A or other information session to provide feedback to the City as it creates these new regulations.

Discussion — proposed Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) regulationsCity planners are working on how the Denver Zoning Code regulates ADUs, how ADUs are designed, how they fit in with different types of neighborhoods and block patterns, and how updates to the zoning code may reduce barriers to creating ADUs.
At the September 24, 2022 ZAP presentation by Abe Barge of CPD (minute 25 of this recording), we began discussion of some of the proposals raised by planners and feedback/concerns from ZAP attendees. We will continue this discussion among attendees as time allows. Please watch Abe Barge’s presentation and bring your questions/thoughts.
