INC PARC meeting will take place on Mar 18, 2014  6:00 at the Heritage Club 2020 S. Monroe in the Craft Room. Please join us.

This month’s meeting will feature an oral history of the Overland Park neighborhood’s,  18 year battle with the Shattuck Chemical Co .This history will be presented by  Catherine Sandy.  She and others in the Neighborhood association  were instrumental in overturning the ruling concerning this EPA Superfund site. The  neighborhood prevailed and the radio active waste was removed from the site in Overland.

On a side note – Friends of Denver Parks are marching in the St. Patrick’s Day parade this Sat.  Mar 15 and need supporters to march with them. . More info and a signup sheet can be found at www.friendsofdenverparks.org, You can find the most current progress on the law suit at this site.
