-Keynote by INC founding member and governmental veteran, T. Michael Smith, Trends in Community/Government Relations
-General Session: Views On Neighborhood Involvement In The Government’s Planning Process (Panel presentation)
-Concurrent workshops: Two breakout periods for four concurrent sessions each. See below.
The general sessions are followed by multiple concurrent workshops from which attendees can choose.
Government Round Tables will include the How the Executive Branch Works and How City Council Members Make Decisions and Vote
Dynamics of Neighborhood Planning will include Trends and Planning for Denver’s Aging Population and the Impact on Communities of the New Zoning Code especially with regard to areas of change;
Building Leaders and Growing Neighborhood Organizations including Keys to Successful Neighborhood Projects and Issues and Developing a Neighborhood Action Plan
Transiting Denver will address Alternate Methods of Transportation within the City and Neighborhoods and Connecting People with Public Transportation Within and Between Neighborhoods
RSVP’s closed at noon Friday, October 12, but you are welcome to come to the event and register on-site. The conference is free to attend, and is open to all Denver County residents.
Free Parking: Free parking will be available in the Cultural Center Garage at 65 W. 12th Avenue (next to the Denver Art Museum) and free shuttle service to the Webb Building will be available from 7:00 to 8:30 a.m. Handicap parking will be available around the Webb Building.
Food: Complimentary breakfast buffet; beverages available during the day
