Inter-Neighborhood Cooperation Posted on by

Fellow Denver Neighbors:

Mark your calendars! Our annual INC Awards Dinner honoring those who have helped make our neighborhoods better will be held Wednesday, January 23, 2019.  If someone or a group in your neighborhood has done meritorious work, please plan to nominate them.

Also, if there are businesses within your neighborhood that would contribute to our silent auction fundraiser held in conjunction with the dinner, now is a good time to approach them!  INC will use the proceeds from the dinner event to fund INC’s future neighborhood grant program.  Details about the dinner, fundraising and nominations will be forthcoming later this month.

On another note, please…please look at the direction DENVERIGHT is taking before committing to it. It appears to this citizen that established neighborhoods will come under increasing requests from developers for zoning changes that may end the SU (Single Unit, read Single Family Home) designation. Denver zoning code Section 5.1.1 to allow more density and loose neighborhood appeal…just my view. Just because the City touts DENVERIGHT as the future, it may not be good for your future.

 

Municipal elections in May. It’s your city; take control.
