ZAP
o SWIC has offered us an office in their community center @ 1100 S. Lowell Blvd at a very low cost per month. Board approved this expense at the last meeting.
o SWIC is a great place for any committee or community group to meet.
o David Felice, in partnership with Centurylink donated a computer and printer for our use.
o June meeting will emphasize Excise and License
Hosting the Dir. of Excise and License
This will be a Question & Answer meeting
Will be collecting can goods as part of an ongoing food drive for SWIC
PARC
o The resignation of Lauri Dannemiller is big news
Scott Gilmore is acting lead until a nation search can be conducted
o The Parks and Rec Advisory Board will have a changing of the guard. These are City Council appointees and they are volunteer positions. INC would like for any of you who are interested to contact PRAB and City Council.
o Next Meeting – Discussion of Park Tree Exposure
Is there a tree spraying plan for city parks? Yes, but it has limited funds.
Sonya Johns is documenting impact of increased sodium in our water supply (purple pipes) on our trees and we want to
bring her methodology to other city parks.
o INC August Meeting
Will focus on the Gasification/incinerator Process that is coming to the Denver Zoo
This will be burning more than animal waste. These are typically located outside city limits.
City is treating this as an experiment and Neighborhoods need to do more investigation

INC has concerns with the optics of such a “training” of citizens.
Perhaps we could combine it with officer training as well. Teach how a citizen can file a citizen’s report.
o INC said thank you to Merce for all her hard work
Charitable Giving Committee
o A new Goal and Direction has been established
- “Keep Good Going”
- Support local groups that are doing good work and bring resources to them.
- Question: Shall we make an INC Foundation?
- Maybe down the road, but not this year.
Involve RNOs in performing this survey (as applicable)
Create buy in by surveying the whole city instead of one focus area
Suggestion: Use United Way & Denver Post to help as they have
o Include direct neighborhood activities – Community Gardens, Help for the Homeless
o Recommendation: Include Beacon House – This is an amazing organization that needs resources already done a survey as well
Communications Committee
o The committee will collaborate with Charitable Works to create a web page in denverinc.org for them to use.
o Working on the start of an “INC Academy”
Need more content from committees
Would like each committee to have a curriculum
o Facebook seems to have slowed down, working on pushing more information to Facebook.
o Working to make denverinc.org a library of information
Membership
o We are working on reaching out to all RNOs this month to increase membership.
o Wash Park Profiler said All RNOs are members, but that isn’t true. RNOs must fill out an application and pay the membership dues to become a member.
New Business
A July 4th Parade is being planned for Observatory Park
The Virginia Village RNO hosted the National Bocce Ball tournament last month
INC needs a chair for the INC Dinner
West Washington Park is hosting a garden tour this summer
