Honoring Roger D. Armstrong, Former Capitol Hill United Neighborhoods Executive Director
Roger Armstrong, Capitol Hill United Neighborhoods’ executive director from 2007 through 2016, will be honored with a proclamation at Monday night’s Oct 16, 2017 Denver City Council meeting. District 10 City
Councilman Wayne New will offer the proclamation.
The Council meeting begins at 5:30 p.m. and Roger’s friends are encouraged to attend and, if they wish, speak about his many accomplishments as an advocate for the people of Greater Capitol Hill.
Roger served Capitol Hill United Neighborhoods as a board member, director of Capitol Hill United Neighborhoods’ Capitol Hill People’s Fair and as executive director. In this role he served on many boards and commissions and represented the people in our 10 neighborhoods with enthusiasm, grace and
thoughtfulness.
Over the last few years Roger has battled some significant health issues, but his devotion to Capitol Hill United Neighborhoods has been unflagging.
He left Capitol Hill United Neighborhoods last year when it became an all-volunteer organization.
If you wish to speak at Monday’s council meeting, here’s how to sign up:
- Email Legislative Services dencc@denvergov.org
- Call 720.337.2000
- Stop by Room 451 of City and County Building (1437 Bannock Street)
