HARVESTSHARE YOUR EXCESS HARVEST
WONDERING WHAT TO DO WITH YOUR EXCESS HARVEST? HARVESTSHARE!
HarvestShare is a first year community based festival in NE Denver. We are asking gardeners to bring their excess harvest to share with the community. There will be live demonstrations on organic gardening from DUG Master gardeners, food preparation demos, Yoga, Zumba, Core Fitness demos, and many more Healthy Eating Active Living demos. There will also be live performances from Somos en Peru, Cleo Parker Robinson Dance Troupe, and Joe Bonner.
Date: Sunday, Sept 15th
Where: Schafer Park (37th & Elizabeth)
Time: 1pm to 6pm
Wondering what to do with your harvest before and after the festival? Visit HarvestShareDenver.org and Map Your Garden. There is a new app link on our website that allows you to Google Map your garden and what you are growing. Once you and your neighbors map their gardens, you can plan mini-HarvestShares for your block. Pick a date and bring your harvest to a neighbor’s front yard. Sort the produce into bags with recipes, and guerilla drop the bags at neighbor’s front doors. Please check out this wonderful app; you could be the first one in your zip code to map your garden.
We hope to see you at HarvestShare and may you have a bountiful harvest!
