June brings FRESH tours!
June 6: Lumber Baron Inn & Gardens • June 11: Evans School • June 18: Rocky Mountain College of Art + Design • June 25: LOT Twenty Eight HHT
On Wednesday, June 6, we are touring Denver’s historic Lumber Baron Inn & Gardens from 4:30 to 6:00 PM. The evening includes a house historical overview and a tour of the mansion hosted by the Inn’s owner and operator, Joel Bryant. Following the tour, attendees will be treated to small bites and a cash wine bar in the Inn’s lovely and spacious garden. Register HERE!
On Monday, June 11, we are taking a step back in time and touring the Golden Triangle’s Evans School from 4:30 to 6:00 PM with manager, Rob Eber. The school was built in 1904 and named after Colorado’s second territorial governor, John Evans. At three stories high, the Evans School loomed over the surrounding buildings; only the brand-new State Capitol and the old courthouse stood higher, towering over the growing city below. On Monday, June 18, we are exploring the Rocky Mountain College of Art + Design (RMCAD) from 4:30 to 6:00 PM with Reagan Hendricks, Facilities/Operations at RMCAD, and Bill Marino, Board Chair with 40 West Arts District. The tour will not only showcase the remarkable and varied architecture of the campus, built from 1904 through the mid 1950s, but also will share more than a century of history of activities on and around this unique venue—including a vaudevillian stage where Bob Hope once performed, numerous art galleries with exhibits from students and faculty and a peak into the connecting tunnels underneath several of the classic buildings. On Monday, June 25, we’re hosting a sneak peek of RiNo’s new LOT Twenty Eight. The hard hat tour is from 4:30 to 6:00 PM and will be guided by Jen Holmes, Project Architect with OZ Architecture, Ryan Hanson, Project Superintendent with Brinkman Construction, and a representative from the site’s developer, Formativ. “This project will act as a hub for the neighborhood’s cultural and food and drink scenes to bring together locals, visitors and creatives alike… LOT Twenty Eight will preserve the character of this historic manufacturing plant and complement the neighborhood’s vibrant community.” – Courtesy of Formativ.
