Thank you for all the work you did to bring the Council 1 candidate forum to Northwest Denver on April 1st. My husband and I were mesmerized by the relevance of the questioning and the underlying drama created by the audience’s common interest in electing officials we can hold accountable. I was particulary interested in Thad Tecza’s unorthodox, Chicago style, objection to the control of which and how many questions from the audience would be asked. He also asked repeatedly why the mayoral candidates would not participate in a similar forum. Can someeone in Inc give me a little background on this? Were most of the questions submitted eventually included? What were the criteria for choosing the questions. Do you think it was a fair and honest process? Was it really the Mayor who insisted that he would not participate in a forum with the three other candidates. Maybe it makes sense to skip the forum but I want to know why. I will also contact the League of Woman Voters to find out how they made the decision not to promote a forum for the candidates for Mayor. Thanks again! Marie Edgar
