City Announces Community Engagement Portal Access
RNO Contacts:
We want to let you know about several new tools for residents to participate more easily in Community Planning and Development projects.
Community Engagement Portal – This page brings together all our work with the community on a single entry point. Visitors will find links to:
- Current planning and regulatory projects
- Open surveys and other opportunities to weigh in
- Information about the five boards and commissions staffed by CPD that make decisions on land use, presentation and design
- Sign-ups for our email contact lists
- Frequently asked questions about our community engagement
- Raw data sets from past online surveys
- Our new online calendar (read more below)
The portal is available from the CPD homepage by clicking the “Community Engagement” button. (See non-live image below) –
CPD meeting calendar – This new feature brings together meeting information for all of the following:
- All public events related to current projects
- Permitting presentations for contractors and homeowners
- Denver Planning Board meetings
- Landmark Preservation Commission meetings
- Lower Downtown Design Review Commission meetings
- Downtown Design Advisory Board meetings
- Cherry Creek North Design Advisory Board meetings
- City Council Land Use, Transportation and Infrastructure Committee meetings when CPD items are on the agenda
- City Council Public Hearings for planning projects, policy changes, landmark designations and re-zonings.
Each event item will include the logistical information as well as relevant documents, a map to the location, and a download so residents may add the event to their calendar apps.
Finally, we have launched a new online comment form for the Denver Planning Board. The form allows users to submit comments for any agenda item that goes before the board and includes instructions as to when it is best to submit comments for the board’s public hearings and for each step of the legislative review process of any item that moves from Planning Board to City Council. The form allows attachments so users can add letters, maps, pictures or other relevant information. It is available from the Planning Board web page (www.DenverGov.org/PlanningBoard) when you click the button “Submit Comments.”
Please share these links with your members. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out. Best, Alex
