Delegate Meeting January 13, 2018

INC met January 13 at Denver’s District 3 Police Station. An SRO crowd heard from Councilperson Paul Kashmann, Denver’s new Neighborhood Liaison and a special program from the representatives of Denver Road Home and Denver Homeless Out Loud, as well as reports from INC committees and a number of delegates who had RNO updates. [No voting matters at this meeting occurred.] President George Mayl opened the meeting with a welcome, and circulated a card of congratulations (to be signed by attendees) to longtime INC delegate and leader, Katie Fisher, who had just retired from 40 years on staff at Iliff School of Theology.

Delegate Meeting Minutes Nov 11 2017

INC PROPOSED BYLAW CHANGES:

JJ Niemann, INC President, introduced Margie Valdez, Chair Bylaws Sub Committee, to review proposed bylaws changes pertaining to last date to renew membership within INC and to be able to participate in voting on or running for INC board positions. The changes were emailed to all members October 30, 2017. 45 delegates present at this time.

VOTING MATTER NOVEMBER 11, 2017

INTER-NEIGHBORHOOD COOPERATION, INC.

PROPOSED BYLAW CHANGES

During the 2015 INC election, concerns were raised regarding the process of the election. The purpose of this proposed amendment is to enable the process to be better organized and to provide INC registered neighborhood organizations with prior notice of requirements for payment of dues in order to participate in the March 2018 INC election.

Platte To Park Hill Forum Video and Documents

On Saturday, September 9, 2017,  INC sponsored a forum to discuss the PLATTE TO PARKHILL STORMWATER DIVERSION AND THE 1-70 EXPANSION.  At the close of the meeting, a resolution was put forth to the delegates which passed. See the video of the entire forum here

INC DELEGATE MEETING MINUTES Aug 2017

Margie Valdez proposed a motion related to the city’s P-3 office. The motion stated:

“Inter-Neighborhood Cooperation (INC) strongly urges the proposal to create an office for public-private partnerships within Denver City Government that will screen, vet and shepherd P-3 or public-private partnerships related to major city projects be delayed until such time as the specifics of the proposal have been released or shared and adequate time is included for the proposal to be vetted with both City Council members and the public-at-large. Further, INC requests City Council to refuse to support the proposal known as P-3 until more informed community discussion and transparency can occur.”

Delegate Member Meeting Minutes May 13, 2017

The meeting was called to order at 9:00am. The attendance count was 31 Delegates; seven (7) Guests; and no Alternatives. Two (2) additional attendees later joined the meeting, but did not sign in, thereby making an ultimate total attendance of 40. Al Habercorn moved to approve the April meeting minutes, it was seconded and they were unanimously approved by attendees’ acclamation.

March Annual Meeting and Election

The March meeting of Delegates is scheduled for Saturday, March 11, 2017. At this meeting, we will hold elections for the open positions for the INC Board of Directors. Positions for Vice-President, Treasurer and Delegate-at-Large will be open.
