At ZAP meetings, we discuss a range of zoning and planning issues from licensing to city planning and zoning.  ZAP aims to provide useful information, and an opportunity for questions and sharing responses to city initiatives. • Potential Next Steps for National Western Center land — Dialogue with Alfonso Espino (GES Coalition), Brad Buchanan (National Western Center Authority), Laura Aldrete (Exec. Director Community Planning & Development) and Sarah Nurmela (Planning & Implementation Mgr., CPD)
We’ll come together to share ideas related to community goals, city processes and potential approaches for completing the 270 acre National Western Complex. This dialogue will cover Globeville Elyria Swansea neighborhood goals, ongoing work of the NWC Authority with community, and nitty gritty information regarding possible approaches to amending or updating Denver plans.  We all look forward to a productive conversation, so put on your thinking caps and bring your questions and ideas! You may also submit your questions ahead of the forum to zoningplanning@denverinc.org.
  • Proposed changes to Board of Adjustment?  Councilwoman Kniech and Councilwoman Sandoval

Denver Board of Adjustment is comprised of five mayoral appointees and two alternates.  The Board’s sole duty is to hear and decide cases regarding the Denver Zoning Code.  (Example: an appeal by a neighbor after a zoning permit is granted for over-height fence)  Councilmembers Kniech and Sandoval are proposing some immediate changes to the BOA next month (as well as additional changes in the future) and will  brief ZAP attendees on the proposed changes.

Hope you can join the meeting to hear these important discussions.
