Denver Rescue Mission will hold the annual Easter Celebration Banquet on Friday, April 10, 2020 from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00p.m. During this event, we distribute new shoes and socks to everyone who is in attendance. We expect to serve upwards of 1,000 guests, and we will have 100 community members volunteering. In order to manage the large crowds that this event draws and to be the best neighbor to each of you, we are planning to shut down the Lawrence Street block between 22^nd Avenue and Park Avenue West, from 8:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 10, 2020.

If you have any questions concerning this planned closure, please do not hesitate to contact me directly. I will be on-site during the event and available by phone. We will have Denver Police Officers on-hand during this event to help manage traffic re-routing due to this closure, as well as needed access along the block. Additionally, we will have Mission staff on-hand before, during and after this event for the sole purpose of ensuring that this event does not have a negative impact on you, your residences or your businesses.
