Putting people before labels.

We are excited that we’re getting ready to release a new Call for Proposals for our Alternatives to Jail funding area next week! Denver identified this funding priority out of a desire to:

• Divert people with mental health and substance misuse issues away from the justice system through system- and/or community-based pathways
• Ensure that those released from the criminal justice system have the resources available they need to meet them where they are in recovery and live healthy lives in the community
• Reduce recidivism of persons with mental health and substance misuse issues
• Reduce disparities in mental health and substance misuse outcomes

We learned so much from our first round of Alternatives to Jail funding, and we’re excited to incorporate grantee insights in this next round of calls for proposals. Thank you again to our current grantees for your honesty, passion, and hard work!
