“This event is a way to allow for the citizens to see their public safety agencies up close, and to interact on a personal level with those who respond to emergencies in their community. It also offers a reminder of the 14th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks in New York City, and the heroic efforts by those first responders who sacrificed their lives on that day,” said Dean Christopherson, President, Denver Police Museum.
“This tribute is not only for firefighters lost, but also for the police and safety personnel who perished as well. This event is our opportunity to honor our local First Responders who deserve our praise and thanks,” said Winifred “Win” Ferrill, Executive Director, Denver Firefighters Museum.
