Purpose of the Awards:
The primary objective of these awards is to empower 14 to 19-year-olds to recognize the significance of citizen involvement in their own community. By providing financial support, INC aims to inspire and assist youth groups in making meaningful contributions to improve neighborhoods through their dedicated efforts. We believe that by nurturing civic engagement at an early age, we are sowing the seeds for Denver’s future neighborhood leaders.
Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Focus:
INC is committed to fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion. In alignment with this commitment, at least one $500 grant will be reserved and awarded to a youth group either based in, or with members from, a Denver city-designated Neighborhood Equity and Stabilization (NEST) community. This includes the neighborhoods of: Athmar Park, Barnum, Barnum West, Clayton, College View, East Colfax, Elyria Swansea, Globeville, Kennedy, Lincoln Park, Mar Lee, Montbello, Ruby Hill, Sun Valley, Valverde, Villa Park, Westwood, and Windsor. This ensures that opportunities for civic engagement are accessible and inclusive for all.
