A Message From The President Nov 9 2021
Hello all-
I hope you have had the opportunity to enjoy our unseasonably warm autumn with the amazing extended time to enjoy the changing leaves. I want to invite everyone to Saturday’s Delegate meeting as we will have updates, but our meeting will also consist of a review of the proposed updated bylaws. I want to emphasize the importance of bylaws to our non-profit organization. The INC Board would wholeheartedly appreciate your input on the proposed modifications that will assist our organization in moving forward.
Last Spring, I appointed a committee of volunteers and they worked on this comprehensive review. I would like to thank all the committee members – those who attended and dedicated their time, input and expertise on this exhaustive project. I hope that everyone will have an opportunity to review the changes on the website:
https://www.denverinc.org/inter-neighborhood-cooperation-revised-by-laws
Some of the updates include necessary changes for INC to operate via an electronic format (i.e. Zoom), especially how we hold meetings and vote on issues. Additionally, the proposed updated bylaws help to encourage all RNOs to participate and encourage delegates to take the educational information from the INC meetings back to their respective RNOs to empower them to advocate for their RNO’s positions. The proposed bylaws also stress the importance of INCs work on diversity, equity and inclusion. This draft has been reviewed by our consultant, Juston Cooper for consistency with these goals.
The INC Board and the Bylaws Committee would wholeheartedly appreciate your input and approval of the updated bylaws. I cannot stress enough the importance of your attendance. Saturday’s meeting would be an excellent time to hear from you!
Loretta Koehler
INC President
