ZAP Meeting Agenda for July 25th

AGENDA:
l. The Sharing Economy – Short-Term Rentals – Presentation by Mary Beth Susman, City Council, and Abe Barge, Senior City Planner, Community Planning and Development
2. Why Neighborhoods Should Understand Strategic Lawsuits Against Public Participation (SLAPP Suits) Presentation by Michael Henry and Greg Kerwin
3. Any other issues which you believe will be of benefit to the registered neighborhood organizations and how the INC ZAP Committee can facilitate the process. YOUR IDEAS AND SUGGESTIONS WILL BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.

Also, please invite others from your group to attend our meetings. The committee usually meets on the fourth Saturday of each month. Please calendar ahead.
The August meeting will be held on August 22, 2015. Please bring non-perishable items for the South West Improvement Council (SWIC) food bank to the meeting. Suggested contributions: eggs, cheese, canned fruit, canned fish, canned meat, peanut butter, cereals, rice, and beans. If you prefer to make a monetary contribution, checks should be made payable to the South West Improvement Council. Following the monthly ZAP Committee meetings, volunteers will ensure the donations are delivered to the SWIC food bank in a timely fashion.
Please note the July meeting time. Short-Term Rentals topic is scheduled from 9:30 to 11:15. The SLAPP topic is scheduled from 11:15 to 11:25. A five-minute period has been reserved for follow-up from ZAP committee members.

Mission Statement for INC Zoning and Planning Committee The mission of the INC Zoning and Planning Committee is to learn about zoning, planning, licensing and urban design issues and processes in Denver, including sidewalks and tree lawns; to assist neighborhood groups in dealing with such matters; and to provide advocacy, recommendations and comments to city government, with emphasis on the need for and importance of involvement of neighbors and neighborhood organizations in city issues.
