What can Denver learn from LA? New Study on “Sharing Economy” Released
City Councilwoman, Mary Beth Susman has been leading the conversation about regulating Denver’s new “shared economy.” There are issues presented by companies such as Airbnb and Uber that are seen to sidestep the rules imposed on hotels and cabs through licensing. On the other hand, there is an argument for maintaining private property owners rights as well as a motive to do no harm to the economy. Denver INC and the ZAP committee have been front and center, fighting for neighborhood residents to have their say in any proposed legislation. Most of us just want a system that ensures fairness with certainty and stability for our neighborhoods.
