INC TO CO-SPONSOR ELECTION FORUM ON OCTOBER 11

For many years Inter-Neighborhood Cooperation has partnered with the Denver League of Women Voters, Historic Denver and Denver8TV as Denver Decides to organize and present election forums so that Denver citizens can learn about candidates for elective office and important ballot issues.  We hope you agree with us that members of neighborhood organizations should learn about and participate in state and local elections. This is our final forum leading up to the November 4, 2014 election: 

Saturday October 11 9:00am, Police District 3 Station, 1625 South University:

·        9:00 am – Congressional District 1 debate – Diana DeGette (Democrat),     Martin Walsh (Republican), Danny Stroud (Unaffiliated)

·        9:45 am – Board of Education for CD 1 – Valentina Flores

·        10:00am – Denver Pre-school tax issue – Issue 2A

·        10:30am – Proposition 105 – Labeling of Genetically-Modified Foods

·        11:00am – Proposition 104 – School Board Open Meetings

·        11:30am – Amendment 68 – Horse Racetrack Casino Gambling

INC urges Registered Neighborhood Organizations and their members to attend the forum and to publicize it in their newsletters and e-mail blasts.
