FAX About Small Business
In celebration of National Small Business Week and Denver’s original “Main Street,” the Denver Office of Economic Development (OED), Colfax on the Hill and the Bluebird District are offering a business assistance and development forum.
The Fax About Small Business will be held
Friday May 24, 2013, from 2 to 4 p.m.
Sie FilmCenter, 2510 E. Colfax Ave.
The program will include:
· Featured speaker, Congresswoman Diana DeGette, to highlight the linking of private/public partnerships and federal opportunities to the local level to create business opportunities and jobs.
· A small business panel discussion will feature property and business owners in the East Colfax corridor, including those who have utilized OED financing or are bringing major new development projects to fruition, including the new Sprouts Farmer’s Market at Colfax & Garfield.
· A development panel discussion will update attendees on development and business opportunities in each of four sections of Denver’s 10-mile Colfax corridor, from Sheridan Blvd. to Yosemite St.
· An overview of the city’s small business resources will be presented by the Denver Office of Economic Development.
The event is free and is designed for small businesses looking to finance business expansion and growth; property owners; developers; and investors exploring Colfax infill development opportunities.
