INC-ZAP Meeting

1. Discussion of 5G Towers — Steve Harley has put together this fabulous link chock full of background and information regarding 5G cellular antenna towers. Please take a look. Ean Tafoya, who has looked into the issues surrounding 5G from every level will give an overview of Steve’s research and lead a discussion. Please bring your neighborhood’s questions and concerns.
2. Group Living Advisory Committee — updates and draft list of ZAP questions — Many of you have reviewed CPD’s presentations and/or attended a discussion of this committee’s work, but we encourage you to review the latest presentation and watch the Feb. 8th INC delegate meeting presentation by Andrew Webb. If your neighborhood has concerns or unanswered questions it would like to see presented in a potential ZAP letter to CPD before the Ordinance is finalized (rather than when it starts moving through Planning Board and City Council), please write them out and bring them to Saturday’s meeting.

Neighborhood Inspection Services: Your ZAP co-chairs reached out three times to Neighborhood Inspection Services, hoping to bring that agency to ZAP this Saturday. We are looking for a refresher as to what issues fall under NIS vs. other Denver departments such as Building, etc., how NIS works, how many inspectors NIS currently has on the ground, breakdown of frequent complaints and investigations, and then Q & A. This is of particular importance given the numerous questions that have arisen in connection with the Group Living proposal. We have not received any response from Neighborhood Inspection Services.
ZAP Platform: We now have three INC members interested in meeting to work on updating the ZAP platform but are looking for a few more souls to help get the ball rolling sometime in March. Please let Ean and Christine know if you are interested. Also let us know if you have further suggestions for ZAP topics.
Next ZAP Meeting – March 28, 2020
The mission of the INC Zoning and Planning Committee is to learn about zoning, planning, licensing and urban design issues and processes in Denver, including sidewalks and tree lawns; to assist neighborhood groups in dealing with such matters, and to provide advocacy, recommendations and comments to city government, with emphasis on the need for and importance of involvement of neighbors and neighborhood organizations in city issues.——————-
