City Kicks Off Neighborhood Planning Initiative
If you attended our Denver INC Zoning & Planning Committee in October then you know that the city is planning on creating new Neighborhood Plans for the entire city over the next 8 – 10 years.
There are also multiple articles written, in our local newspapers, about the initiative
Denverite – Denver Neighborhood Planning Initiative Plan 10 Years
Denver Post – Denver Neighborhood Planning Initiative
The first 2 focus areas are NE Denver and Central East Denver. As the planning moves forward, the Denver INC will make efforts to support Registered Neighborhood Organizations in the planning process.

I disagree with the neighborhood groupings a bit. Barnum/Barnum West and Valverde have more in common with Westwood the Southwest portion. Villa Park and West Colfax definitely have more in common with NW Denver. I hope they will re-think this a little. Neighborhoods with strong commonality are already working together to create better places for residents.
